We've scoured the internet and the world to bring together some beautiful Shakespeare and Theatre related gifts, mementos and collectors items. We're basically enthusiasts, based in England. And this shop is something of a passion.
The Victorians started the commercial Shakespeare 'Business'. And Shakespeare inadvertently started our Maverick theatre 'Business'. Plus we're big fans of the bard. So we're sure the Warwickshire lad wouldn't mind us using his name to help raise money for further productions, especially as we used to practice the oldest type of theatre - pub theatre - in Birmingham, just 25 miles up the road from Stratford-upon-Avon!

One of the most 'human' performances of Shakespeare's Henry V, this top class film features a top British cast and was one of the reasons Maverick's Nick Hennegan was tempted to write Henry V - Lion of England!
It features music composed by Patrick Doyle - one time actor and now regular Hollywood player - and performed by The City Of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Sir Simon Rattle. It was Branagh's directorial debut and in our humble opinion, the boy done good! Ably assisted by producer David Partfitt (anyone remember 'And Mother Makes Three' in the seventies?) and the talented philanthrope Stephen Evans.
As a footnote, the sound editor, Campbell Askew, very kindly donated his arrow special effects to the Maverick Theatre Company, bless him!
